“ We eat here at least once a week. Food and service are consistent. We usually do takeout and takeout always tastes good. But if you decide to dine in, they have some tables outside and inside where you can enjoy your meal. ”

“ If you're in the Gilbert/mesa area craving some Hawaiian food this is just a small shop waiting for your service. I got the shrimp plate and the chicken plate. The shrimp was large and well flavored. Two scoops of rice and Mac salad just like a local Hawaiian plate which is delicious. The chick was ok but still good. It was a little bit of a wait but we found a seat and the cashier was very friendly so we didn't mind, they were busy! Overall, this place was good. The prices were high just like everything else now but at least the servings were big. ”

Dey get all da classic stuffs: kalua pig, garlic chicken, an' da bomb kalbi ribs. Plus, dey always get some ono specials dat make you like try everything. Da poke? Bruh, so fresh an' full of flavor. An' no fo'get da guava cake or malasada. Da portions? Big enough fo' buss your belly. Da price? No bad at all. Dis one legit local-style grinds in da desert, no joke. “ The service at this place was pretty fast as far as taking our order. The food took a little while to cook but was made fresh to order so I can't complain there. It was a tad on the expensive side but still worth it in my opinion. The ambiance is not bad inside it's smaller but it has a nice vibe to it playing island music. The galbi was on the sweeter side but I still enjoyed it. The chicken had a nice garlicy flavor and was juicy. All of the food was cooked well. Ambiance 6/10 Flavor 8/10 Value 7/10 Cleanliness 8/10 Service 8/10 Overall I had a good experience here the staff was friendly and the food was tasty. “ LOOOVE this place! Stopped here for a bite in the way to the airport after visiting my parents. Had the Garlic Chicken (very good), Garlic Shrimp (great), and the Kalbi Ribs/ Kalua Pig Combo (DE-LICIOUS!). The portions were generous, the rice was perfect, and ehe mac salad was excellent. Staff are super friendly, too. Wishing I was a local, so I could be a regular. Mahalo! ”

“ Nothing beats home, but hapa is a close substitute. I miss plate lunches from Rainbows, Fumi's, and Gina's BBQ back home, so I was so excited to try out the kalbi and garlic shrimp from Hapa. It did not disappoint. Portion sizes are a little smaller than what I was expecting from the prices, but for good food, I will be returning. They even had chichidango for sale at the front that I had to get. I pulled up in the parking lot to see a few cars with their local stickers on, and the sounds of kolohe kai heard playing as soon as I opened the door. It almost felt like home. The service was wonderful, and we only had to wait ~10 min for our to go order. We definitely could have eaten there as it wasn't incredibly busy on a Saturday afternoon, but this plate lunch deserved to be eaten at home. ”
“ We were so excited to try Hapa foods. The garlic chicken and garlic shrimp was sooo good. We love that they have 2 big scoops of rice! Most only give one small scoop. The Kalua pork was good but just a tad bit on the salty side. The malasadas are a must if you go!! So delicious. The lady who took our order was so sweet and friendly! And I loved the soft colors and beautiful paintings! We'll be back to try the sorbet and guava cake!! ”
“ We could not make it to our original 4th of July plans, so the next best thing is Hawaiian Plate lunch! I absolutely love this place. The food is consistent in quality and taste! My husband placed an order for me to pick up, and it was ready and packaged! Because of the holiday, they had their hours updated on their Instagram. Their garlic chicken recipe is so, so good, and if you order anything at all, it must be this! Our 'Murica dinner was garlic chicken, kalbi, and garlic shrimp, and poke nachos. The poke nachos is fantastic. It's just poke over deep friend wanton chips, and it's great! If you have not been, you simply must go. Their instagram also have specials on certain days, which is worth following for! Happy 4th, y'all! ”
